News stories, feature writing and journalism background
I have worked in the news media for decades, as a staff writer and freelance writer for national, regional, metropolitan
and community newspapers in the West and Midwest. My articles have won statewide and national awards from journalism associations,
including the Colorado Press Association and the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada. I have written about business,
technology, the arts, religion, government, politics, tragedy and crime. I spent six years as a staff writer at the Omaha World-Herald,
and my work has been published in the National Law Journal, National Catholic Reporter and The American Nurse.
I even have an occasional gig writing about astrology for the National edition of Examiner.com. When studied with an eye on the
history of the tradition, astrology truly is a fascinating system of correlations handed down for understanding life's seasons, cycles
and phases.
When I'm wearing my editor hat, I'm a stickler for clarity, facts and efficient use of the language. Any reporting, writing or
editing needs you have, I can competently fulfill.
